We are experiencing a high number of applications where they have used chat gpt or other AI programmes to generate text for free text answers. This seems to result in applications being too easy to hide the applicants written language ability when this is a key skill for our jobs. If we could have the option to stop free text boxes from allowing text to be pasted into those boxes this may limit these instances. We appreciate that applicants can just re-type their AI generated answers into the box but at the very least this shows some commitment to their desire to apply.
