Many employers still rely on cover letters and free text questions to assist with shortlisting but it's never been easier for candidates to ask an AI programme to answer these questions or generate a cover letter for them based of the advert and JD.
It would be really helpful if there could be some sort AI detection tool that flags if a candidate's application is likely to be a certain percentage AI-written

It’s a great point and something we’ve been actively exploring, as the increased use of AI presents a real challenge for many recruiters.
At this stage, we haven’t found a tool that can reliably detect whether AI has been used in candidate responses. Most of the solutions we’ve reviewed tend to produce false positives, which could unfairly impact candidates if used within the system.
It’s a complex issue to solve, but we’re continuing to monitor developments in the AI detection space closely and will reassess as the technology evolves.
