Create Task Notifications

If we were to create a task from the Dashboard - this is no way to trigger a notification to the person acted upon to let them know they have a task outstanding.

Appreciate it is visible on the Dashboard - but its buried in some much info it will get missed.

Please can we develop a notification to user acted upon from the Create Task option
