can not apply = no box

For some of our adverts we do not want an apply button, we were previously able to have no box at all appear on the adverts but now some standard wording and published and closing appear and I have been told this is standard, when previously we were able to have no box. Please can there be an option to have no box again or for the wording/context to be amendable so we are not giving the candidate inaccurate information.
