We're currently doing our implementation and are really disappointed that the number of fields to export back to IRIS Cascade is capped at 160, especially as it's not even 160 questions, it's 160 total options from dropdowns.
We had really wanted employees to complete their information incluuding EDI information before starting and to be able to have reports with meaningful data.
We were really surprised to discover for example that if there are 25 choices for ethnic origin, that this would count as 25/160 total items.
It would be useful if this could increase as we would much prefer answers from dropdowns rather than free text.
Thanks for your idea!
Just to clarify, your understanding isn’t quite accurate. Dropdown options within a field don’t count toward the total number of fields in the mapping. For example, a dropdown question with 50 options would still only be counted as one field.
While there’s no fixed cap on the number of fields, we generally recommend keeping it under 75. Exceeding this can slow down data transfers and make ongoing maintenance more challenging.
If you're currently in implementation, I’d suggest speaking with your consultant. If not, your Account Manager or our Support Team will be happy to assist.
Thanks again for raising this!
